Cheers Nick,

I've just changed the settings on the wizard and things seem to be moving forward.

I checked the 'manual' (not previously selected) option (along with all the others....that i had previously selected) and now I have two icons appearing in the Kmail header menu that allows me to classify the mail as spam / not spam. Presumably the program will now learn from this as I add more and more classification examples. The kmail removes the selected spam to the waste bin as it should. I read the instructions but it wasn't that clear to me that the 'manual' option had to be selected (and could be in conjunction with the other options)...without this the program would take some time self-learning.

I am still waiting to see if new spam is detected striaght off and if the program learns to reject all previously classified spam.

Thanks everyone for the input

Ralph
