No shock here from an electrical engineer ;) Pulling the power cord, removing the CMOS battery and waiting 12 hours doesn't clear it. Can't find the capacitor, but noticed that it's a Gigabyte motherboard for which the "CMOS clear" jumper comes up pretty top on google. Trouble is, it still wants a bios password... I'm starting to suspect that "reset to factory defaults" sets some default password. Stellar-sized doh. Anyone got a few common factory bios password to try?
