Hi
Are there any ihug sat users that have been switched to Bordernet isat.
Any problems?
What do you think so far
I have found downloads 100% (yes 100%) faster in most cases, however
there help line is crap, they said they don't offer any network support.
My sat dish is currently on a M$ platform but want to change it to my
Linux (slackware 10) file server later on but of course they don't offer
support for Linux. There are drivers available.

I ran the Ihug Ultra terestrial thing for years.
It was probably the fastest download connection you could get bar none
in that price range.
I got hacked off with two things:
- the driver support was almost nonexistent. The only reason there was
Kernel V2.4 support was that an Ihug staffer wacked up a driver update
for it. Since then there has been nothing (apparently the guy left)
- Having to dial in was irritating. Using the phone line etc was just
getting to be a pain.
Have now gone ADSL, it's a lot slower but heaps more convenient.
It's interesting that the Skymedia thing is going to be continued.
It is very fast for download speed.
