Yeah - ones for modems and the other's for printers.  Which would be on a
barbeque? :)))

Even easier - look closely at the motor and see what it says.  Some
disassembly may be required.

Do the terms serial and parallel connections mean anything to you Craig?

Is there no way of just putting a multimeter across the output socket?
