I would not put quite as strongly as that. The problem is that the spammers are learning how to get their messages through SpamAssasin etc.. The ratio of ham to spam messages I received before the the introduction of the spam filter was about 1 to 10, whereas now the ratio is about 10 to 1. I think that that is actually pretty good. However, subjectively, it seems to have got somewhat worse in the last few days. It's just a shame that it cannot magically sniff out the Nigerian 419s and similar. I can't quite understand why not. They all mention death, millions of dollars and missing next of kin. Similarly I really do not need any messages whatsoever about any pharmaceutical or herbal products. -- CS
