I'm having fun playing with a couple of tape drives. My google-fu is weak and I can't find any decent references to tape changers under linux. Has anyone used this drive or similar before?
[0:0:2:0] tape ARCHIVE Python 29279-XXX 499B /dev/st0 [0:0:2:1] mediumx ARCHIVE Python 29279-XXX 499B - I've got files going to and from tape using simply tar, and the tape drive has hardware compression on already. Whats the best way to use the changer functionality? The cartridge holds four DDS-90 tapes, of which I have one at the moment.
