For those not familiar with LaTeX I have created an example letter in a text editor and then generated a pdf.
The most usefull feature of Latex is that it separates style from content. This leaves you free to concentrate on the content and let LaTeX worry about the styles. The output from LaTeX is often looks better than what you would produce mucking around with a WYSIWYG word processor. I have to agree with Nick. Creating your own style macro does not seem to be an easy task. On the other hand hand enumerating and laying out clauses and sub clauses is just so easy on LaTeX, compared to a word processor, once you get the hang of it. The example letter is here; http://www.inet.net.nz/~rossd/ltrexample.pdf I was tasked by my Mother with printing a recipe. I used Latex to create the document. I reckon the result was pretty cool. See it in pdf form here; http://www.inet.net.nz/~rossd/BlackBun.pdf Cheers Ross Drummond On Tue, 11 Oct 2005 13:19, Christopher Sawtell wrote: > > Just go for it then and please stop burbling total FUD. > I agree that there are no document classes specifically for NZ Legal > practice, so you would have to create them for your self, or commision > somebody to do it for you.
