Thanks Chris,
I have entered these dates into the CLUG wiki.
People might book their topics into the schedule there. (Voluntarism is
encouraged :)

During 2006 we will be having meetings at the St. Albans Resource Centre on
alternate Tuesdays and Wednesdays according to this Schedule:-
Tue. 10 January ( Subject to possible cancellation if no interest )
Wed. 15 February
Tue. 14 March
Wed. 19 April
Tue. 9 May
Wed. 21 June
Tue. 11 July
Wed. 16 August
Tue. 12 September
Wed. 18 October
Tue. 14 November
Wed. 20 December
These dates are firm bookings, and may be entered into diaries. ( Hint )
My thoughts are that it is good if we can offer one support meeting
every two weeks approx, so newbies never have long to wait before
getting direct assistance. Done effectively, this sequence might meet
the need for more organised Installfests.
But make of a note now of Saturday 9 September 2006 - the 3rd annual
Software Freedom Day <http://www.softwarefreedomday.org>. CLUG is
invited to use this date for an installfest, sharing resources with the
established event.
Our immediate priority is to secure a suitable venue (spacious, with a
broadband allowance, 24-hour access optimally), that would benefit from
the advertising promotion done around SFD globally. E.g. tertiary or
commercial premises, with or wanting a *nix profile. Any ideas?..
hth,
