FWIW, I've been tracking both Mono and PNET/DotGNU for a while, and have 
compiled Mono.  I haven't got a C# book yet, unfortunately, so ... it looks 
somewhat like C/C++, and behaves more than somewhat like Java, which I don't 
know that well ... ;(

But I could make a presentation on the value of cross-platform tools, given 
that Mono on z/Linux and Linux/390 is actually a hot topic in certain 
quarters! ;)
