Looking at a copy protected CD on Amazon, the customer comments are
pretty revealing about the way people feel about Sony's copy protection.

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000AA305M/104-8907109-3267126?v=glance

"I like David Gray, I would like to buy this cd and listen to it how and where
I want to but I can't because it is copy protected so I will not be buying this
or any other similarly protected cd. Can't get it on my iPod, can't play it on
my Sonos. Sorry David you lost a sale. It's not your fault, it is the fault of
your record distributor. If they ever come to their senses I will be first in
line to buy. "

"You can't fault the artist for corporate machinations. The fact that SONY BMG
screwed it up is forgiveable if you know your way around a computer."

"Copy Protection is a silly effort that doesn't address the real issues brought
on by new technology and people who don't believe that artists deserve to make
money for their work. "

When will they learn?
