As subject matter states the GUI KDE locks the leyboard up so it's useless!
eg press numlock light doesn't light up, same with caps lock. In Konsole no response to keypresses. Keyboard is okay at login prompt of KDE, It's kinda okay at console (not using KDE) I say kinda çause traversing history list and pressing enter causes unusual things eg type in cat /var/log/dmesg|less after viewing text press up arrow key and i get rubbish. sometimes even after pressing enter key once or twice i still get rubbish. any ideas as to what i might do / where to look to correct this? checked out some setting in KDE for the keyboard but things look fine. I will do a google also tonight. dave.
