Hi,
I have been looking into getting an internal PCI modem lately. Having already played with winmodems under linux I would perfer to avoid that again. I am asking if any one has found a good modem that has voice capabilities and will work well under linux. I have read that the intel 537 based ones are good, but I need to find a store that sells them. Many stores don;t specify what intel chipset the modem uses, instead just saying intel based. Either I have to get an external modem that has full duplex voice support, an internal PCI one that works.... or an ISA one (yes I have one ISA slot...). The modem is not going to be used for the net so speed isn't and issue. The main thing is voice capabilities.
Could someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks,
From Kim
