I know this wasn't the question asked (and editors are such a well know touchy 
subject) but, what are you after from an editor? Are you open to other 
suggestions?

FWIW I do a lot of PHP development and I use Kate, if you use KDE you may be 
interested in Kate or Quanta+. Quanta+ is similar to Kate except that it has 
more IDE features like auto-completion and integrated PHP manual with 
function tooltips etc.
