Yes. My ISP Snap, has this week changed to a Lucent APX Terminal Server.
I was using a script to connect and kppp borked on ppp negotiation. I changed the the authentication method to PAP, entered login and password in the dialogue boxes on the kppp splash screen, and all was well. I am not sure but I suspect this new gear supports the V92 & V44 modem protocols. Now all we need is Telecom and modem makers to support them.
