Why not have a chat with the chaps at the canty wireless site? we had a bit of a blurb in archives about free wireless connections (Nick about the time you looked at woosh i beleive).
they have 3 repeaters on sugerloaf hill and their area coverage might have expanded now..... @cents worth.
