Had a similar problem many years ago. The Epsom service agents gave me
the key sequence. Have you asked the current agents, or try Printech.
Some epson printers are VERY hungry on ink. see the comments on the
CX3500 in google.

Hello,
Anyone have one of these? I have one with an 'ink well full' problem (this
is indicated by the red and green LEDs flashing alternately). It will be
at least $56 to fix it, and apparently the repair involves replacing the
ink well sponges and resetting a counter in the printer (which allows it to
continue printing). I know that I can get a new printer for around $56 (or
not much more) but it seems a shame to waste this one since there's nothing
else wrong with it.
I have found a Windows utility that might work to reset the counter, and
allegedly the old ink well sponges can be washed and re-used. Has anyone
tried this? Is there a Linux utility for this (since I know Epson is
reasonably well supported in Linux)?
Thanks for any help or suggestions,
Andy
