Wiki markups are inherently unstable :-) An asterisk in the first
position introduces a bullet list. An asterisk in the body of a line
introduces bold text. This is not mentioned in the documentation
explicitly - it might be argued it's implicit, and that as the bullet
list formation is mentioned first, it would take priority.

Each wiki engine seems to invent it's own markup, and of course with
multiple wheels being invented, only a few of them are any good.

In the blog world, there seem to be a few markup engines (such as
Textile) that are gaining a high level of acceptance. There are probably
more bloggers out there than there are wiki'istas :-) these days.

As always, I'm open to suggestions about the software used by
clug.net.nz. If the list decides that it would like a change, I'm happy
to host it :-)
