(PS - Thanks Wesley for the comments at the last meeting re my wife's
peculiarly unstable system. We gave up on the warranty and took it to a
local techie. He found that the two 1G RAM modules couldn't function
together at 400 MHz; replaced one with a 512M module and [fingers
tightly crossed] the system's been rock solid since then on Fedora Core
4 64-bit.)
