Subject: How man memory slots are occupied?

Thanks to all those that replied to my load average thread. Its pretty much
as i thought. First stop is some more RAM, and if that doesn't work a better
IDE chipset perhaps (the disk should be OK it is a brand new seagate 300G).

I have seen somewhere in linux the details of how many memory slots are used
in the machine. It may have been somwhere in /proc, or in some hardware
identification utility, or in dmesg.

But I cannot for the life of me find it.

And don't ask me to lift the lid, the machine is remote!

console programs only please (your gui ones will just call the same program
anyway).
