Then you use apt to install it I think?  Help someone?

Might also be easier to install it from source. I haven't tried installing anything from source on my ubuntu system yet... does anyone know if the base install included the required compiler? B - installing from source is really simple if the right things are already in place, and a nightmare if they're not :)
