I can well imagine.  People in that part of the UK can be very touchy at 
times ... ;) 
 
And I've just checked my booklet on neurological examinations, and I suspect 
that holding a tuning fork to the head of the HR interviewer, to check he/she 
has fully-functional hearing, so has actually heard what one has said, is 
likely to not go down well ;)
