And worse still I get up at this time to get work done,
but its the nature of being in business, in NZ

A quick run-down on e2:

11 staff
Been operating since 1996/7
3 Directors (Chris Lee (MD), Me (TD) and Phil Holiday )
4 Shareholders who work in the Business
we now have about 15-20% off shore work
major clients include: Kathmandu, Ballantynes, Ministry of Economic Development, Macpac, Ryman Healthcare,Trade and Enterprise NZ, Tait, DiscountDomains, Eaton (Switchtec) we use 2 CMS's Midgard (as noted in the Netcraft sig) which is why the main cluster is still using Apache 1.3x (this is currently the only thing balding at the moment) and Typo3
we make stuff using PHP or Java (spring)
18 Public facing servers (not including nodes, firewalls etc)
moved to new premise June Last year, and set up a new Server room in the process

we are in Cafe, Coffee and Food Central, Christchurch

I'm keen to talk to anyone (that would be useful) about the job

I hope this helps,
ta Carl.

I do wonder if Tait IT == Dilbertian Hell ;)

I don't consider a mere 4 and a half lines of the baldest details to be a
job app. You don't do you?

I wanted to see what he'd say before I took the matter any further.

                      First compiled a program:- 1969
First typed 'vi' and expected to see an editor:- 1988
First serious use of SYSVR3:- 1992 or was it 1993,
First install of Gentoo:- Version 1.2

                             Windows knowledge:- Zero

Now that we've seen some of his prose, I've discovered that he's probably
not too bad and am seriously considering matters. His admitted severe
home / work imbalance gives me the creeps though. Starting at 6:00am and working until called home for tea is a bit obsessive isn't it? Still it's better than being glued to TV for most of every waking moment I suppose.
