Ahh ok well thats what will be giving out the dhcp address then :-) First, and usually overlooked step: are the cables all plugged in and the ethernet card led's flashing? if so: Try running the following as root: dhcpcd -k eth0 (makes sure dhcpcd is dead, k=kill) dhcpcd -d eth0 (d=debug) then take a look in your log file, probably /var/log/messages. dhcpcd should have logged what it was doing. grep -i dhcp /var/log/messages -- Nick Rout <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
