Is there soemthing to download or view? I may have adblocked so much
stuff with frefox that i am missing something on the page?

The url was http://www.bbcworld.com/content/template_clickpage.asp?pageid=2783

but all i see there in terms of content is:

"The Code Breakers
<snip blockquote>

But no link to an actual show.

I only heard about it when the beeb came on just before 1am - they were advertising the broadcast (Asia-Pacific region only) between segments.

Searching through the program listings from the menu at left on the bbcworld.com site confirmed that the show (part 1/2) was due on @1.30, so I was lucky to catch it. And part 2/2 will be on at the same time next Friday, 1.30am. Check NZ timetable listings to see if there's another rerun of 1/2 this week. It's well worth recording if someone is so set up.

The Code Breakers is an hour-long doco provided by the UN Development Program, seriously appraising the success of FOSS (their term) in poorer countries' education, state, etc, starting in Africa. There is copious M$ comment, focussed on adjusting to the competition in the dynamic BRIC market (Brasil, Russia, India, China) especially - hence relevance to 'Other Side' thread.

Have a look at the UNDP's link from www.softwarefreedomday.org to understand why they have contributed this research item to the BBC.
