It might be CPU temperature - going to try setting up sensord next.  However
the case never feels hot.

Swapping the PSU is another option - need an ATX extension cos a normal
sized PSU doesn't fit in 1U.  And I can't leave the lid off cos that's part
of the cooling system.

That could be one reason.

Power supply and hardware problems are the other likely ones. Bad PSU, or
bad electricity supply? Check temperatures, esp CPU. Swap in a different
PSU.
