I just saw this message about Fedora 5 being the last, and went to read up about it. Unless anyone can point me to other information it looks as if Redhat are changing the nature of their support, but are certainly not withdrawing support.

Fedora 5 is the last one, as RedHat are pulling the plug. I will always recommend that you use the same distro as the mate you're going to be ringing when it goes wrong uses. I personally am writing from FC4, but swear by debian in any server-type environment, unless you're using 64 bit. At that point, I gave up with debian as I wanted a graphical interface and am using ubuntu.
