Ah, I see what you mean. Samba server is obviously the other direction
than the one sought. You need Samba client to configure your local
workgroup (this goes globally into cmb.conf which needs root priviledges
to write). The SUSE manual (package suselinux-manual_en) has a whole
chapter on samba, but the client config in there is non-existant. If you
care, sock it to novell's bugzilla bugzilla.novell.com.

On the desktop, click the Network Browsing icon (this needs the samba
workgroup configured to find anything), or type remote:/ as method (=
URL) into konqueror. This gives you two icons, "SMB Shares" seems to do
a hunt around for anything on offer, and "Add a Network Folder" seems to
be for those who have the specific details at hand.

You'll also need to make sure your desktop's firewall doesn't block it.
Default is block all incoming, that includes the samaba server of
course. Yast->Security->Firewall, Allowed services from the list on the
left, Service to Allow (select samba server), click add, then click
through next until you get finish.

That should do it, though I can't test, no Redmond stuff here.
