Which firewall (on which box)?
The standard firewall that was installed two years ago on the one and only (connected) box.
And it was blocking what?
Every request for a web page and email.
Sometimes network changes require a SuSEfirewall2 reload (just run it from the command line), but it's also explicitly reloaded in some places.
SuSEfirewall2 is the command?
SuSE 9.1 Eh, that's just been obsoleted.
For the first couple of months I did the YaST online updates but I found that each update would bugger something I had previously got working. So I have not updated anything in the last 18 months and I have 95% of what I need working properly; and I'm working on the other 5%. ;-)
