No Nick, there is no screen saver running at that point. The kernel is
barely loaded. Symptoms described in one of the last emails clearly
indicate the hardware is **ed. Probably mobo, perhaps PSU, RAM, CPU, and
all contacts in between. Perhaps fixable, start with a vacuum cleaner
and reseating everything 5 times, perhaps RIP. If it started after
shifting the box, some contacts somewhere are implicated.

Oh yeah, nothing to do with SUSE or Linux.
