I cant remember where I got the IP , somewhere off the net :-) Yes trying to
install via the 35 meg one cd install.

if I knew how I could LOL .... if there is no menu I am a bit lost, I only
vaguely can run commands in linux

yes but at what point in the install should I try to use ctrl-alt-f2  keys
???  if it gets to the point I say it freezes, well then it is totally
frozen and no keys work at all, not even the three finger salute ctl-alt-del
