Some positive feedback for those who are interested in the growth of
Linux in our Christchurch community - youth, schools.
This week I held session three of a weekly Linux Education Session (LES)
at the new Upper Riccarton library.
Our numbers are growing... by half way thru lunch (12 - 1pm) I had 10
students and had to almost throw them out. Some were very annoyed that
they hadn't been told about this opportunity. (Sessions run from 11am to
2pm, students required sign off from parents and schools to attend.)
Our Oxford students can only make it into town once a month, so they
weren't there this week and we hope to get out there next week.
This week we covered out a range of topics centered around networking
and routing.
Notes from each weeks sessions can be viewed here

Notes for this week aren't up yet, and I've only half edited last weeks.
Some quick plugs...
1. CCC - Upper Riccarton Library. The meeting room we use is provided
free with use of their electronic white board (which copies directly to
my CF card) and data projector.
2. Riccarton High - Who are now providing us with net access and even
had to reconfigure their firewall to meet my requirements.
3. The GAT teachers who have put this opportunity together.
If any of you out there know any of these people or their bosses then
please take the time to pass on a note of thanks!
Cheers Don
