Not quite. Add step 0) Using your Linux Live/Install/Rescue CD, create two empty partitions /dev/hda1 sized appropriately for Windows to prevent it grabbing all the disk and /dev/hda2 being a "cover" for the rest of the disk. Make both partitions of type 0B ( Win95 ) Now proceed with Step 1) ( Install Windows ) Windows will install into the first partition as the C: drive. Delete step 2. You _really_ don't need to defrag it now because you are not going to re-size it using the Linux installer. Add step 2a) Change the size of the second partition to something of appropriate size to use as a letterbox between Windows and Linux, and use the remaining space for Linux root and swap partitions.
