As I understand it, the product I suggested runs a linux core, Simon
Knight picked up on this.
However I agree with Nick that we should build something... not as plug
and go, but a useful exercise.
Cheers Don

I'm happy to pass it on to the group at cost from CDLNZ
Mightn't we be better to build a wireless AP with donated bits as a linux box?
I mean a commercial box like Don offered has a plug and go advantage, but we
are, ummm, a linux group!
If we buy a ready built, I believe we should at least go for one that runs
linux!

Will there a wireless router present tomorrow night?
Probably not. Next time give us a bit more of a warning.
I will do my best, but I haven't much hope.
Someone?
Actually is this the sort of thing we should buy ourselves?
There is sufficient dough in the kitty.
(I'd bring mine
but my daughter makes full use of it on Tuesdays) It would be great if
I could get my laptop's d-link card going. Well, going more than
currently . . . it's nearly there, is just a matter of wpa_supplicant
(according to Criggie). I must confess that this is a bit of a cheeky
request given that I've not had a good opportunity to try further
myself. I suspect this is actually quite simple and may only take
someone 5 minutes as opposed to my hours?
