I just read something that says that MS ceases to support 98 98SE and ME as of yesterday. That is ... no security updates etc. So I take it that means that any 98 or ME system will pretty soon be a bit of a hazard if it already wasn't ;-) ?????
This raises a question for me. Should I persist in trying to install open suse on my old Celeron 333 win 98 system now? Last time I tried it just hung there when it got to doing something like identifying usb devices. I already have a dual boot suse / xp system on my Celeron 466 and that works fine, although it is a pain having to reboot all the time after my wife who has pretty well commandeered that one for her and has to stick with windows as she uses power point etc. -----Original Message----- From: Rik Tindall [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Saturday, 12 August 2006 1:33 p.m. To: [email protected] Subject: Re: OT WinME Firewall Robert Fisher wrote: > Ask you friend/client what he does with ME that he cannot do with a modern > Linux desktop.
