At this stage I am not worried about time for getting the internet
working (having access thru windows still), but being on the
pension....cash and convincing the BOSS that I should spend money on the
computer(which as far as she sees is working perfectly) is a different
ball game altogether LOL.
I have downloaded ltmodem 2.6.8 - 2 - 386a1 (hope I got that right) but
I see on the website
linmodems.technion.ac.il that they talk about a 2.6.9 modem, I am
wondering if this should be the one to look at??
May I just say thanks to all those that have passed comment and info on
this so far and
special thanks to Robert, Andrew and Christopher who have spent much
time helping either on the phone or visiting me to try and sort out the
problem.
