I've always wanted to have a go with a *BSD, but the earlier versions have always given me some silly installation problem or other?
I hope PCBSD-1.2-x86-CD1.iso is the correct file? I'm looking forward to a different o/s. Nick's correct about Gentoo, it's got serious growing pains. -- CS
