Also thanks Keith for the info on installing the downloaded modem.
now a couple of questions:
How would I check the Country setting on the internet connection set up??
when querying the modem, it tells me that it is
a V.92 Data + Fax Modem Version 8.31.
is there a way to find what the version is of the new one downloaded
without removing the current one?? I am guessing that I may be able to
do that if I put the new one in a seperate directory before
unzipping and building it....?????....I am probably a mile off in my
thinking.
also the last line of info after querying the modem says:
8.31,0,19,11C1,044C,11C1,044C
would the Country setting be amongst those figures (the 044) which I
would say if that was the case it would be incorrectly set.....again I
am probably a mile off in my thinking.
