Good. That's to be expected. Now we know exactly what B command does.

All we need now is a precise copy of /etc/ppp/options
and the tail of the pppd entries into the /var/log/messages file with 
the 'debug' option in the options file ( above ).

in linux, as root, paste these two commands into a console and execute them.
You might care to cut and paste to a file in the Win/Lin letter-box partition.

cp /etc/ppp/options /mnt/hdb1/ppp_options
grep pppd /var/log/messages | tail -n 50 > /mnt/hdb1/pppd_messages

If you do not understand the above please feel free to give me a ring.

Now attach these two files you have just made to a message to linux-users
