BSD's hardware support is definitely worse than Linux's. pfsense is BSD, and one of the network cards I pulled out of the drawer wouldn't go with BSD and bandwidth control, but was fine on Linux. What annoys me is that the *ix field is splintered enough, no need for yet another mainstream version (Billy will be rubbing his hands).
