If you are going with DSL there are many providers, just a quick note about a couple from me; I use iHug as my provider and am very happy with them, they gave me a static IP and reverse DNS for free and I have had no problems at all (except random disconnections in the early morning which I believe traces back to Telecom and is common to all UBS DSL). Orcon is another popular provider, I switched from them to iHug as I wasn't happy with them for various reasons. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with them as a lot of people are very happy with them, it just didn't work out for me. WorldxChange have free national traffic which is pretty cool, I have no experience with them but did talk to them on the phone a couple of times and they seemed very friendly. They are also rolling out a VoIP service too which is cool especially when combined with their free national traffic. As an aside, we were discussing on IRC the other night a Telecom document[1] which is available and discusses faster plans with lower latency (no interleaving) in the not too distant future. Should be interesting to see what happens. hads [1]http://www.telecom.co.nz/binarys/new_new%20ubs%20full%20speed%20plans.pdf -- http://nicegear.co.nz New Zealand's VoIP supplier
