Hmm. It's curious that the OpenUPSmartd authors didn't make the driver compatible with nut, especially since they are aware of it (there is a link to resources on the nut website which identifies that UPS as a variant of the megatec design (which is supported)). Had they done so you could have saved yourself some effort. Oh well. My UPS (Liebert) has contact closures for signalling. No serial protocol for me. =:^( Andrew
