I'm neither a TeXpert nor a TeXnician, but I have used the groff macros a long 
time ago. The pic set will, without doubt. do what you want.

emerge groff
emerge gv
gv /usr/share/doc/groff/1.19.2/pic.ps

otoh, Provided you can tolerate this newfangled, time consuming, point and 
click paradigm, inkscape will probably produce what you want.
