There is an option to retain your home partition but in your case I would recommend you do a complete reinstall so that it wipes any incorrect settings. (This assume that your customisations can be redone easily.) Do not touch hdb1 (your fat32 partition) I think from memory you should have / on hdb2 swap on hdb3 and /home on hdb4 Let me know if you need help Rob
