For those who find giving a presentation difficult, may I thouroughly recommend joining a Toastmasters club. There are plenty in Christchurch to choose from. It will give you the skills and confidence (by practicing in a safe environment) to eloquently wax lyrical in front of people. Well, at least, you'll be able to prepare and present a talk without having an extreme adrenaline response. I've seen people going from nervous, stammering dribblers to confident articulate presenters within about 6 months. Very valuable for you career, too.
This *is* on topic. Geeks have plenty of knowledge but are notriously poor communicaters. The more linux geeks we have who are willing and able to give reasonable presentations the better. Cheers, Carl. On 19/09/06, Hadley Rich <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:

I know a little about Asterisk but absolutely nothing about giving a talk. I'm definitely not what you would call a happy public speaker. I _may_ be able to be convinced to do a presentation if there is no one else who wants to do it. hads -- http://nicegear.co.nz New Zealand's VoIP supplier
