I have removed my wires, removed the password, and Mepis now boots! One thing to remember... Once you have gleaned the Supervisor password, then when you intend to remove it you must have the hard drive (that you previously removed) in the laptop. Otherwise, when you put the hard drive back in... the passwords don't match. It seems it is stored in both places.
