Yes you can.
It's called the xinerama extension to X.
You can even do it if the xservers are on different machines.
It's called dmx. Distributed Multihead X.
Unfortnately I couldn't get Xdmx running reliably, probably because
Xming is a version or two behind the Ubuntu X server.
