When you say that the sound is set up, does this mean that: a) The microphone works, and b) That two applications can use the sound device at the same time? I've had persistent issues with GNOME's mixer not recognising the existence of the microphone level controls on Intel sound hardware. Fortunately kmix runs under GNOME, picks it up, and the users can run Skype properly... Vik :v)
