Yes.  Dropped it in another machine and did that.

Fixed the first problem.

Server load back at < 1 today. Was up to 38 last night. I'm still not sure why.

I haven't thought this cc box is well for some time, problem is that cc just have all the functions I want "out of the box".

I want to set some monitoring in place to see what was causing the load
before the crash.

What's the best way to do this?

I'd use uptime to monitor the load and to trigger a sequence of ps >> logfile calls as frequently as needed when the load exceeds the trigger point.
