I think you must have a short memory Chris? Hell, I'm a lot younger
than both of you, yet I know how this game played...
Microsoft WERE the good guys, until the bad guys got into them...
MS was the only software I could get my hands on and use when I was
young, everyone else wanted huge money.
MS was the only software that delivered a consistent platform and product.
MS brought the cost of having a computer down so that everyone could
have one (in our world).
I don't think it's Bill who's the real problem in there... I'm not sure
who it is, but Bill has brought us to a place that no one else was
taking us.
Don't get me wrong here...
BACK ON TOPIC...
FLOSS is putting computing back on track to where it should have been in
the first place and that's why I'm sticking with it.
I think the current revelations from MS are really REALLY funny!
It adds reassurance to my choice to choose OSS, I wouldn't be going back
to their platforms unless they delivered GNU GPL licences on their stuff.
I'll use some of their suff (like XP because it's got wifi support for
my hardware) but I for one am going to keep pushing on with PHP and
Linux and FLOSS (or FOSS or OSS, or what ever 'you' want to call it).
Cheers Don
