Yes Andrew my time does have value... it's of value to me personally to
see wifi pushed out there. I don't mind stumping up my time if I can
deliver that. When I think of the thousands of dollars I've paid for
telecommunications over the years and what I'm left with (nothing) I'm
keen to see this open stuff grow. Sorry if I'm not 'self serving'
enough to be understandable.
As for spoon feeding... I only asked if people could see my site
outside my network... you were the one pushing the use of this tool.
Now you want me to down tools, work out where the download page is, burn
a cd, run it, work out how to get it up and running to meet my
requirements (something that you've done?) Oh come on mate :)
Perhaps when I'm finished my locally produced system, you might like to
get these competing tools up and running and we'll have a face off at
the next CLUG meeting? Perhaps fellow CLUGers might like to suggest a
scope?
As for poeple being useful... some CLUGers have been following and
emailing me off list as they build competing systems up and inviting me
to come have a look rather than push me off task :)
